Golden West Tour
Visit Breweries in Oakland and Berkeley
Oakland was at one time one of the largest beer brewing cities in the country until Prohibition ended the city’s golden glow. But thanks to several microbrewers it is buzzing again. For the last few years Oakland and Berkeley have emerged as a craft beer goldmine and the location of some of the best microbreweries, brewpubs and beer bars in the Golden State.
This tour showcases classic beer styles, hidden gems in the local craft beer scene and good times to be had by all.
Blue Collar Tour
Visit Alameda and San Leandro Breweries
No hard hats required for this tour, but be ready for strong and well-constructed beer flavors. These brewers are brave and hard at work producing some of the most popular craft beers in the country. Keep it casual with a refreshing Hell or High Watermelon or experience the intensity of a Hopacalypse. Honestly, there are seemingly infinite options for every kind of palette. Now is your time to sit back, relax, and enjoy.
This tour showcases some of the Bay Area's larger breweries with awesome West Coast style IPA's as well as some delicious barrel-aged beers.
Your friendly guide will greet you at your designated meeting location prior to visiting local breweries where you will enjoy delicious craft beer flights. This gives you the best opportunity to taste a variety of beer styles. Try some amazing pale ales, IPA's, stouts, sours and barrel aged beers! The best part is your guide will happily help you make your beer picks and bring them to you!
Go behind the scenes and learn how beer is made and about the quality ingredients that make it taste so good! Have more beer questions like whats a NEIPA or a BBA? Your guide is a certified Cicerone and ready to share beer knowledge with you.
Hungry? Grab a bite at one of the local food trucks. Enjoy anything from brats to nachos. All go great with a craft beer!
Don't forget to take plenty of pictures and play some games! This beer experience is one to not be forgotten.
Want to show your appreciation to the brewery staff...don't worry, all gratuity for your beer-tenders is included!
At the conclusion of your beer experience, you will be guided back to the location where you met (but much happier). If interested, your guide can suggest other fun places in the area to visit.
